Purchasing an area rug begins at home.  Before shopping for an area rug, first measure the area you would like to cover.  Useful tip: To determine the size of the rug you need, lay down a top sheet in the area you want accented.  Then measure the area covered to determine the optimal size, as well as the minimum and maximum size you desire.
